ASSESSING CURRENT SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES AGAINST DEFINE ROLE REQUIREMENT AND ORGANIZATIONAL OBJECTIVES.

We see that the organization has full plan regarding achievements of goals and targets. They hire people who can help organization in achieving goals and targets. Individuals need to assess their skills and competencies against defined role and requirements and organizational objectives. This assessment helps individual in improving their skills and competencies because when individual matches his skills and competencies against the roles, he finds out the difference and by improving or removing the difference, a person can give best performance which is in great favor of the organization and organization needs such persons. This creates a need of that person in the organization and in this way a person can be better appreciated.

There are many ways through which a person can assess the current skills and competencies. Out of many methods, SWOT analysis gives the best results. Here in this analysis the best improvement part is that when we discover our strengths and weaknesses and by utilizing strengths in a good way and by improving weaknesses we can overcome the problem and can improve ourselves. We can remove weaknesses by getting or improving knowledge or skills. In this way not only we can match this but also can find ways to improve it.
